What Drives Us

This business was designed to fulfil a mission of Showing Up for Your Dog. Dogs are incredible beings and their connection to us as humans is second to none. Throughout the training process, the goal is to better the bond between you and your fury family member for the better, and to ensure that their life is the best it can possibly be by guiding you through all processes to reach success.

Through customised training programs and advice, I strive to strengthen the relationship between pets and their families, ensuring a joyful and balanced coexistence. My aim is to equip dog owners with the knowledge and skills necessary to nurture a loving and respectful relationship with their furry companions.

I was like most and had family dogs when I was young and got my first dog at the age of 14, a Chocolate Labrador named Cadbury. I was lucky as she was my first golden girl and had a personality to match. Minimal training was needed for her and I felt I knew all ... this was not the case for my second dog.
Scully (Wheaten Border Collie) was a rehome case, I decided to take on after her previous owner thought Scully needed more to have a life she wished she should have. Scully was severly reactive and it took me months of training, with lots of trial and error throughout her developmental stages. Scully was my guiding force of nature to test my knowledge and learn many new skills to help her reach her absolute best quality of life.

This gave me the experience to want to help other pet dog owners who have their own goals and forces of nature that they wish to better their relationship with and ensure their fury family members are living their best life.
This process with Scully was the building blocks to creating Show Up Dog Training, and to achieve my mission of bettering a dog's life by nurturing relationships between owners and their fury family members.
